Limerick-born and New-Jersey based, Helen O’Shea is an independent singer-songwriter and artist whose late-blooming music career springs from a rich former life in medicine and motherhood. Blending Celtic roots with Americana heart she calls her sound AmeriCeltiCana , and uses song as a means of connection, story and healing. Her upcoming album Songs In The Key of O (March 2026) pays heartfelt tribute to Irish icons Sinéad O’Connor and Dolores O’Riordan while forging forward into her own voice.
Helen’s path is anything but conventional. Before the stage lights she held a distinguished medical career: starting with medical school in Ireland (University College Galway) and moving into obstetrics/gynecology and research in Canada at McGill University.
